Ray Mond/Hiccups (Girlfriend)

Prior to the economic collapse, Ray and Chatterbox had a few encounters which taught Chatterbox she was a member of Chang Gang. When Ray returned to the city, they were enemies. Their empathy towards each other’s past losses, shared feelings of being misunderstood, and penchant for chaotic, wild ideas built the foundation for their friendship and eventual relationship.

Chatterbox suggested to Ray that the two of them pretend to date to stop Ember Quinn from pursuing him. After bouts of jealousy and multiple times where both of their lives were in danger, they confessed their feelings for one another, and Chatterbox, as recently proclaimed King of the Clowns, asked Cups to be his Queen, which she accepted. Following a brief period of uncertainty, using terms like "boy-yuck" and "queen" for each other, they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Ray and Chatterbox are both new to relationships, but work together as a team.

Although CG and the Clowns are historically enemies, neither has seriously attempted to separate the couple. There was an incident where, after Mr. Kebun discovered that Chatterbox and Ray were involved, he put Ray on probation and because of the miscommunication, briefly caused Ray to consider leaving CG for the Clowns. Once the miscommunication was cleared up with a warning about how love could make someone do stupid things, Ray was able to remain a loyal member of CG while dating Chatterbox.

Ray has been described as “good toxic” by Chatterbox, which he likes and finds exciting. Ray has described Chatterbox as "the best boyfriend ever" for setting a standard she believes no other person could ever live up to.

Malla Pietro/Giggles † (Ex-Wife)

Chatterbox had never truly understood loneliness until Bobo was gone. The man who had raised him, twisted and cruel though he was, had been his world. The Funhouse, the games, the punishment, the sick rituals—it had all been familiar. A routine. A life that made sense in its own grotesque way. But now, that was gone. The silence left in Bobo's absence was deafening, suffocating even. There were no more games, no more punishment. Just the empty halls of the Funhouse and the whispering ghosts of what used to be.

It was during this crushing solitude that he first saw her. She didn’t know it yet, but she would be his everything. She would be the one to fill the hole Bobo had left behind, the one who could share in the twisted joy he had once shared with the clown who had created him. He first noticed her standing outside that strip club, her head low as she tried to shield herself from the rain with a sad excuse for a bag. She didn’t look happy, but there was something about her—the way her eyes darted around, the way she hesitated when she thought she was alone—that pulled him in. She was broken, yes, but that just meant she needed him. And he had learned from Bobo that broken things could be made useful.

He started watching her from the shadows, following her movements with an obsessive intensity. She was a creature of habit, one that existed in the same cycle of mundane, self-loathing rituals: work, the nightly grind of that dingy club, then the slow walk to her car in the dead of night. Alone. Always alone. It made his heart twist, but it also made him smile. She needed someone. And he was just the man—or clown—for the job.

After weeks of following her, waiting for the perfect moment, Chatterbox found it. One stormy night, when the air was thick with rain and the streets were desolate, he made his move. He had no intention of letting her escape. The time for subtlety was over. She was going to be his, whether she liked it or not.

The clown van screeched to a halt outside the club, its garish paint job reflecting in the streetlights. Bright yellow with red stripes and a red ball perched like a grotesque nose on its front bumper. The headlights flickered like a warning, casting long, unsettling shadows across the lot. He had never been one for patience, not when it came to fun. He saw her there, looking angry, shouting at him, but he couldn’t help but smile. She thought she could escape. She thought she could hide from him.

When he stepped out of the van, the grotesque clown mask he wore seemed to come alive under the pale light. His heart raced with anticipation as he watched her freeze. She was scared, and that made him hungry. He moved toward her, slow and deliberate, savoring the fear. She tried to fight, to scream, but he was too quick. One tackle, and she was down, her world spinning into darkness as he knocked her out cold.

When she woke up, everything had changed. She was no longer the same woman she had been just hours before. Her past, her memories, they were gone, just like his. Chatterbox stood over her, smiling in the dim light of the room. She was his now. His new partner in crime. She didn’t need to know her real name anymore. Giggles was what she would be called, and in his mind, that was all she needed to be.

“Your name is Giggles,” he had whispered to her in those early days, his voice sweet like sugar but laced with something darker. “And you are my wife.”

He fed her lies wrapped in soft words, manipulating her into believing she needed him just as much as he needed her. She was a replacement, yes, but that didn’t make her any less special. She was his creation, his new puppet to play with, someone who could share in the joys of twisted games and broken dreams.

His obsession with her grew as days bled into nights, and Giggles, with her fragile mind slowly warping under his influence, became the one thing that filled the void left by Bobo. She was going to be the one to laugh with him, the one to revel in the madness. She had no choice, really. He had given her a purpose.

And now, together, they would write the next chapter. Just the two of them. Giggles and Chatterbox. A perfect match.
