General Description[]
Channing "Chain" Turner was a Patched Member of the Bondi Boys MC.
Background Information[]
Channing Turner is a Liberty City native, recently moving to Los Santos looking for new life experiences. While in Liberty City, Channing had a mundane 9-5 as a pencil pusher. Quickly getting tired of the office life, he applied for an open position as EMR at the Liberty City Pillbox Medical Center.
Channing was always full of drive, willing to put in extra work to improve his quality of life, and this same mentality followed him into his career as an EMR. Over time, Channing worked his way up from just an EMR all the way to FTM Paramedic. Throughout his career, Channing became well known and appreciated by both PD and civilians, for his patience, helpfulness, and overall positive attitude.
Back in Liberty City, Channing was an avid collector of older vehicles, with his favorite being the retro Vice City-style Turismo Classic. To his disappointment, Channing discovered he wouldn't be able to transport his collection all the way to Los Santos. The only thing that Channing was able to bring with him was his positive attitude and motivation to be a hard worker.
Introduction to Los Santos[]
Channing started his time in Los Santos doing odd jobs; your basic delivery to convenience stores and sanitation work. He kept his head low, staying occupied with these odd jobs and meeting other blue-collar citizens of Los Santos. During a routine day taking care of garbage in the various neighborhoods, Channing and the rest of the sanitation workers with him had to stop to get a repair kit for their damaged garbage truck. Upon their arrival at the store, they heard two loud screams, begging for help. The two men were down from a shootout against four other citizens. With Channing's history of medical assistance & willingness to help others, he and coworker, Raffius VonHammerstein, took care of the two men waiting for EMS to arrive. Channing and Raffius took one of the man's vehicle to Pill Box, to make sure he had his car after treatment. After their treatment, Channing and Raffius learned that these two men were Prime Minister Irwin Dundee and Road Captain Barry Benson of the Bondi Boys MC.
Dundee and Barry were extremely appreciative of the help on scene, and decided to show their appreciation in not only money, but knowledge. Dundee and Barry said would teach Channing and Raffius how to start running Oxycodone for their fledging club, which was just two days old. Channing and Raffius were dubbed "Chain" and "Hammer." The two would assist the Bondi Boys by doing these runs, cleaning money from other jobs, and maintain clean records to purchase Class 1 weapons for the club. Chain was accepted as a Hangaround of the BBMC on the 10th of April 2021,
Life In The BBMC[]
Through his interactions with the BBMC he quickly became one of Barry's go-to man, and Barry vouched for him to be formally accepted as part of the club with the rest of the founding members of the BBMC. As his final test to become Prospect, they had him kidnapped by Raymond Romanov and Mickey S while doing oxy-runs with the club. The "kidnappers" (soon joined by Dundee, Barry, and Riley Carter) would threaten him for information on the BBMC’s activities. Seeing as their hostage was “unwilling to cooperate” they decided to up the stakes and test the extents of his loyalty towards the club by putting him in a car and had Yuno Sykk and Raymond pour gas on him. After giving him one last chance to snitch (which Channing refused to take) then shot at the gasoline so that it'd blow up with Chain inside. Impressed by his loyalty, Dundee formally accepted him as part of the BBMC, and Chain became the first Prospected member of the club. He was promoted to Prospect on the 27th of April 2021.
The Averted Vagos War[]
As a young, brash Prospect, Chain had strong convictions and a wild side. While touring the Cleanbois Manor on July 11, 2021, Chain approached Dundee about being disrespected by Benji Ramos and his gang, the Vagos. Dundee told Chain that he was proud he took people disrespecting the club seriously, and if it were any other case, would be proud if he had shot them. However, Dundee warned him not to shoot at Cleanbois Manor, as it was neutral ground. At the end of the day, Dundee confronted Benji in the Manor's driveway about the disrespect he'd shown a BBMC jacketed member to clear the air. Benji became upset that Dundee had sided with one of their lowest members over Benji's longtime friendship with him, stating if their boys were unable to take a simple joke, then fuck BBMC. Upon which Chain, to Dundee's dismay, pulled out his pistol and shot Benji and Vagos el Capitán Chino Gonzalez in the head, rendering them unconscious. Ash retaliated by shooting Chain in the back, so he turned around and shot her down as well.
In an attempt to salvage the situation and his friendships, Dundee drove the injured Vagos and Ash to Grandma's house to be revived. The Vagos were unwilling to compromise on anything except the BBMC handing Chain over to them for punishment. Dundee agreed to meet on their turf in the Barrio to plead his case. There, Dundee refused to hand over Chain and instead took full responsibility, saying Chain was merely following orders to deal with anyone that was disrespecting the Patch. Dundee informed them that Chain would be punished by the BBMC instead.
The Vagos did not accept Dundee's compromise. They insisted it was a matter of respect that needed a big message sent. So they shot Dundee and proceeded to dump him at The Billabong and graffitied the alley with messages. The messages stated that the Prospect's debt had not been "repaid" and that all of the BBMC would be shoot on sight until Chain was handed over.
The next day, as the club tried to avert a war, they soon fell to squabbling. Riley went against the majority of the club's wishes and tried to hand Chain over to the Vagos. Chain was apologetic and willing to submit himself for discipline to ease tensions, but Barry and Collin would not hear of it. They were vehemently opposed to another gang meddling in club business, especially after Dundee's peaceful negotiations had failed. Riley pushed for a second meeting with Benji, and the club was gunned down in the Billy. Then things too a turn. Riley, seeing that she wasn't getting the outcome she wanted, blamed Dundee's chaotic behavior for leading Chain to shoot. She attempted to overthrow Dundee and take his position as PM secretly with Benji's support. In the end, the club ousted her and her followers, and the club split. Although Dundee successfully managed to forestall war, he lost his friendship with Benji. Chain's punishment for this was a beating and the delay of his promotion to a fully patched member.
The OG[]
Chain was finally promoted to Patched Member on the 29th of September 2021. His patching ceremony, and the celebratory gunshots afterward, brought cops to the Billy. Defending their turf, club proceeded to wipe the PD just using Brownings, downing fourteen cops in their first successful PD wipe. Barry was promoted to Vice Prime Minister that same night as well. Barry and Chain were an unstoppable force together when it came to war, and wiped the PD on February 26, 2022 in a valiant last stand. They successfully forced the PD to surrender to the BBMC for the first time ever, after holding out on Big White for nearly three hours. This was the pinnacle of Chain's career with the BBMC, after being an essential shooter in their 45-day war against three different gangs - The Mandem, Vagos, and Chang Gang. Dundee had adopted Chain as his son in October of the previous year, and he was well-respected as an OG of the club. He bought his house in the Billy on June 18, 2022, making the entire Billablong owned by the BBMC.
Chain was Barry's protégé, and at one point the VPM had hoped that he would follow in his footsteps and be his successor as Road Captain. Dundee had wanted Chain to be an Enforcer for the club. But Chain had difficulty catching the train into the city and fell on hard times, barely able to keep up with his bills. The club was always there to help him out if he needed it, but He sought a promotion to Tail Gunner, but grew frustrated that he was unable to make headway. After Dundee was shot and killed, he became defeated, and flew out of the city on 7th of October 2022. Two months later he sent a postcard to Barry, the new Prime Minister, and told him he would not be returning. Barry and Collin informed High Command that Chain had left the city and the club on the 7th of December 2022.
Vehicles[]
As a long-awaited reward for winning a race against fellow Prospect Wolfe McCreedy, Chain was gifted his dream club car, the Tampa, from Irwin Dundee as a surprise. The car cost a total of $107,000 with tax and customisations - which was Dundee's cut from the first full BBMC vault. Edbert paid for the car upfront until Dundee could clean the money and return it to him.
