Captain Price is a character role-played by Zerkaa.

With his service in the 22nd SAS Regiment, John Price has spent most of his career fighting in the shadows. He's been shot, captured, abandoned, blown up, locked up, tortured, and left for dead. Price is a veteran of military operations in nearly every conflict-prone corner of the world, distinguishing himself with acts of gallantry and intrepidity. His achievements have risen to the stuff of regimental history.

Price joined the infantry at the age of sixteen and has served in the British Army for eighteen years. One of the youngest cadets to ever graduate the Royal Military Academy as a commissioned officer, he completed Special Service Commando selection and was 'badged' a member of the SAS, proving his worth on countless covert operations over multiple deployments in the Middle East. Promoted to captain in 2011, call-sign 'Bravo Six', Price is the officer in charge of a highly effective unit, tasked with anti–hijacking counter–terrorism, specializing in close quarter combat, sniper techniques and hostage rescue. He is unofficially missioned to capture or kill high value targets.

Price is known to be ruthless towards his enemies. This can be seen when he tells Captain MacMillan that he was going to "kill them all" after MacMillan asked him what he was going to do with all of the equipment that he had acquired. However, he is also a man who can be funny at some times, often cracking jokes during missions. Price is also a very caring man. Although he seemed to be very hostile to Soap when they first met, they eventually became best friends, and Price was devastated over his death. Price is also very serious and thoughtful. On what was to be a "death mission", Captain Price gave a short speech to Soap about how knowing how and when he will die is not a curse, rather a blessing, and how "this land" (Afghanistan) will remember what they did on this mission.

  • In the Pre-Alpha of the mission "F.N.G." from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Captain Price was voiced by Michael Gough, who did the voice for Captain Price from Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2. This implies that Captain Price was originally going to be voiced by Gough, but it was scrapped.
  • In the fake review of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare by Putin (made by Infinity Ward), at 0:30, one can see Cpt. Price in the Middle East among the Marines in his usual outfit retextured with desert MARPAT. Joel Emslie, Art Director at Infinity Ward and designer of Price for Call of Duty 4, confirmed during a E3 Coliseum panel that Price was originally part of the USMC as a Force Recon Marine which is why he's wearing a boonie hat.
  • When Kamarov, Soap, Price, and Gaz are sniping from the bridge in Blackout, if the player neutralizes multiple enemies with one shot, Price will say something like, "Nice shot. MacMillan would've been proud." or "MacMillan would be impressed."
  • His serial number at the end of Endgame is 9051210.
  • He knows Russian and Arabic.
  • His favorite brand of cigars are Villa Clara's.
  • In the Redemption Single Player trailer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, at the part where Price was pulling the UGV out of the crate, he was wearing the TF141 uniform he wore on Endgame. However, in the actual gameplay, he wears an olive drab uniform without the TF141 patches.
  • In the Dew XP promotion, the Combat Card of Price states that his main weapons of choice are the CM901and the MSR, despite never using them in-game.
  • His name appears in Dog Tags Accessory in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with 01-11-1953 as the date of birth.
  • Also in Infinite Warfare one of the random radio chatter lines by SetDef soldiers will be "What's the status of Prisoner 627?" referencing the mission The Gulag.
  • He also appears as a Supply Drop unlockable full Stryker rig. A Supply Drop unlockable gesture shows the player playing with a Price action figure where pushing the button on its back makes it say "Stay Frosty."

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare/Modern Warfare Remastered
"Right...what the hell kind of name is "Soap", eh? How'd a muppet like you pass selection?"

— Captain Price's first words to John "Soap" MacTavish.
"I was just a 'Leftenant' back then, doing some wet work. Chernobyl, Christmas for the bad guys. Even a decade later a lot of them still used it to get their hands on nuclear material. A lot of them, including one Imran Zakhaev. Of course we couldn't just let that happen, cash for spent fuel rods? That's one hell of a recipe for destruction. It was the first time our government authorized an assassination order since the second World War. I was under the command of Captain MacMillan."
— Captain Price during the pre-mission cutscene to "All Ghillied Up".

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
"Ghost, come in! This is Price! We're under attack by Shepherd's men in the boneyard! Soap, hold the left flank! Do not trust Shepherd! I say again, do not trust Shepherd! Soap, get down!"

— Price trying to warn Ghost and Roach about Shepherd's betrayal in Loose Ends.
"The healthy human mind doesn't wake up in the morning thinking this is its last day on Earth. But I think that's a luxury, not a curse. To know you're close to the end is a kind of freedom. Good time to take...inventory. [...] Out-gunned. Outnumbered. Out of our minds. On a suicide mission. But the sand and the rocks here, stained with thousands of years of warfare... They will remember us. For this. Because out of all our vast array of nightmares, this is the one we choose for ourselves. We go forward like a breath exhaled from the Earth. With vigor in our hearts and one goal in sight: We. Will. Kill Shepherd."
— Price's speech in the cutscene of Just Like Old Times.
"This is for the record. History is written by the victor. History is filled with liars. If Shepherd lives, and we die, his truth becomes written - and ours is lost. Shepherd will be a hero, 'cause all you need to change the world is one good lie and a river of blood. He's about to complete the greatest trick a liar ever played on history. His truth will be the truth. But only if he lives, and we die."
— Captain Price's speech in the intro to Endgame.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
"Your moves are miscalculated, and underestimating your enemies—your biggest mistake. You will find the will of a single man can be broken."

— Price, on the "Redemption" trailer for Modern Warfare 3.
