Background Information[]
Callista "Callie" Warren was born in Vermont and is the oldest of four children. Her parents had a loving and stable marriage up until her father died of a heart attack when she was sixteen. Her mother, while heartbroken, was determined to support Callie and her dreams. Callie's father was an auto mechanic. Her mother is a top forensic pathologist who still practices back on the east coast.
Growing up, Callie did volunteer EMS in high school. She graduated early at sixteen. She decided to specialize in cardiology because of her father's heart attack. Following her father's death, Callie did her best to help look after her younger siblings who were fourteen, twelve, and ten at the time. Callie has a close bond with all of her siblings.
Callie married her college sweetheart when she was 27. When she learned of the corruption he and his company were engaging in, Callie initiated a divorce. Further investigation revealed that his company was encouraging doctors in her hospital to use unregulated and untested drugs as a way to skirt around testing regulations. Callie resigned just as another whistleblower went to the media about the corruption in the hospital and within the pharmaceutical company.

- Explains her long absences are due to her apartment door constantly getting jammed and that her "orange haired neighbor" slides food under her door for her and constantly promises she'll help her open the door
