When it comes to being ruthless, I always know what to do. But I'm not trying to be that guy.
Benji Ramos is a character role-played by Lysium.
General Information[]
Charismatic and resourceful, Benji Ramos is an influential criminal in Los Santos and leader of Hades.
Born in the Philippines, Benji was once a Los Santos south-side gangster who went on to lead an expansive business network, his own gang (Seaside), and the secretive Hades gun operation. He was also a founding member of The Company.
He manufactures and distributes weapon magazines on behalf of The Faceless, utilizing this resource for the Bounty Board.
He is renowned for his boisterous laugh, hot-temper, and ability to talk his way into and out of anything. Benji is a talented criminal with expertise in hacking and getaway driving.
Personality[]
Benji is an avid fan of ‘tea’ (gossip) and is talkative and witty, often lightening the mood in tense situations. He is reasonable, but when provoked, Benji can become hot-headed and escalate to violence.
He is known for trying to talk his way out of charges and jail time when arrested, often claiming to be a hostage despite evidence to the contrary. Benji has also gained a reputation for mental warfare and manipulation through speech, described as having a "snake tongue" by enemies and allies alike.

Benji is back and while his first day in Los Santos was full of familiar faces, a drive past the now-closed Burger Shot served as a stark reminder that times had changed. Despite a brief but frosty encounter with the Simone brothers, Benji's first day was a long, chaotic, and fun adventure. It included moments such as a helpful run-in with Tony Corleone at the new trucking business, helping Mickey Sinclaire and Luciano DiCenzo with an attempted robbery, and reconnecting with his loyal friends Karl Johnny Black and Reggie Might. However, it was his fateful reunion with Yuno Sykk and Raymond Romanov on this first day that set Benji on his new path in the city. Together, the trio embarked on a mix of scamming and legal jobs, eager to learn as much as possible about the new offerings in Los Santos, even running into Jean Paul and Marty Banks during their escapades. In the days that followed, the group solidified their affiliation by establishing The Company - a crew of criminals united by the common goal of navigating and advancing in the world of crime. Its founding members included Benji, X, Marty, Yuno, Raymond, and Mickey. |

Since its conception in December 2023, The Company proved to be a chaotic force of nature both in the city and amongst itself. Benji worked hard to be a stabilizing influence but a few founding members soon began to leave including Marty (December 30) and Yuno (Jan 8). However, neither left in as dramatic fashion as X/JP (February 5) who stole many Company assets on his way out. While each departure impacted Benji, he doubled down on his dedication to making The Company successful. The group went on to early success in the Suds Law Laundromat robbery and became the second group in the city to complete the USB set (unlocking access to a new suite of heists). However, a divide opened up between the NA group of Benji, Ray + Mickey, and EU time based OTT - primarily due to their differing vision for the group. The Company was disbanded on May 8th, 2024. Benji sought a new direction with Ray at his side, and Mickey remaining a close friend. |

Following the dissolution of The Company in May 2024, Benji and Raymond Romanov took a week for introspection and planning, ultimately leading them to establish a new crew centered around the principle of absolute loyalty. In forming their new organization, the pair focused on assembling a core team of trusted individuals. They recruited Karl Johnny Black, Achez Perez, and Reggie Might as deputy leaders, each former high-ranking members of The Company and Benji and Ray's former gangs. A 'draft' was conducted to bring in targeted, high-skilled people as members, including: Fiona Stewart, Maxine Celsius, Mari McKay, Dragon Rush, Jayden Dennis, Lance Silva, and Catherina Gonzalez. During the earliest days of the new crew, Benji joked about being ‘King Slime’. From this innocent comment, a slimy avalanche grew. During their conflict with The Besties, members such as Jayden and Catherina cried ‘GET SLIMED’ as they prepared for conflict. The meme took root, with friends of the group such as Chino Gonzalez II, Zulu Thendani and Connell MacGregor identifying as ‘Slime Money Gang’. Fiona even admitted to the identity during a meeting with Hydra Gang. Conversations began in earnest to find a label for the new crew. After days of countless options, Benji and Ray decided on 'Hades' - a nod to Benji's former gun operation. |
| Mr B (but the B stands for "Brekkers") |
|---|
|
Benji Ramos and Raymond Romanov had aspired to bring in former Company members Mickey Sinclaire and Beverly Brekker into their new crew. The pair had a soft spot for the wayward duo who had spilt off after the dissolution of the Company. But with Mickey absent from the city and the Hades leaders preoccupied with building a gang amid wars, Brekkers searched for solid ground. In July 2024, Brekkers was stabbed by the Paleto Punisher (Mr. K) and wound up in the ICU with heart and lung damage. Benji and Mickey searched for an organ donor to help Brekkers with the transplant operation that he required. Later that month, Brekkers (who had never been interested in committing crime and wearing a Raiders MC kutte) shocked his ex-wife Darcy Lane by saying he wanted to join the Raiders MC as a full member. Inside of the Liquid Library, Brekkers announced his decision to the Raiders MC (adding that Benji and Raymond Romanov could help teach him crime). In the Raiders MC chapter meeting on August 3, 2024, Lane successfully nominated Brekkers to be a hangaround for them, stipulating that he'd be removed if he became Chief of Police. But the very next night on August 4, 2024, Raiders MC Warden Rue Day and Tail Gunner Wally West wound up hunting Brekkers. Already upset that Brekkers had considered Chief of Police (the same position as Lane's abusive father) and appeared to lack the same drive as the other Raiders MC hangarounds, Lane facetiously disapproved of Brekkers's plan to apply for a janitor job at Mission Row Police Department (to spy on them) even though it bothered her more than she let on. Later when Brekkers was hanging out with the Raiders MC and excused himself to "walk back to his apartment", Lane and Rue discovered that he had lied to them. Raiders MC hangaround Flynn Bobarge saw Brekkers getting into a police car with two BCSO officers (Snr. Deputy Crystal Clear and her partner Cadet Rein Synnefo, both of whom Brekkers was secretly going on a ride-along with). Given Lane's high hopes of Brekkers finally joining her club, she felt gutted and betrayed. Rue told a crying Lane she would take care of it, and left with Wally to hunt Brekkers down. Although Lane overheard Rue wanting to get a gun to shoot him, Lane gave no order to stop her. Lane texted Brekkers, "Lose my number." She also texted him, "I'm done. I don't want you in my life." Rue and Wally wound up storming the Senora Desert Sheriff's Office, shooting down Brekkers and both BCSO officers, putting Brekkers in the ICU with one gunshot wound to his heart and two gunshot wounds to his abdomen. Having not explicitly signed off on it, Lane was shocked and confided in her VP Wade Wilson that she wasn't sure whether she knew Rue would do that. Lane blamed herself for toning down her disapproval of Brekkers's PD endeavors and for not stopping his shooting. She texted Brekkers, "I don't want you to die..." The gunshot wounds to Brekkers's heart and abdomen complicated his previous heart and lung damage from the Mr. K stabbing, and Brekkers required immediate surgery for a new lung and heart. During the transplant surgery on August 6, 2024, Dr. Duke Ramsey successfully placed both the artificial lung and artificial heart in Brekkers's chest cavity but couldn't get the synthetic heart to start and had to put the old heart back in. Afterward in the ICU with Lane at Brekkers's bedside, he flatlined. Dr. Ramsey failed to resuscitate him and called his time of death at 8:55 p.m. EST. In denial, Benji and Raymond stole Brekkers's dead body from the ICU, driving to Humane Labs and Research, where they cryogenically froze his body. They did this so that when Mickey Sinclaire returned to town he could say his goodbyes. A guilt-ridden Lane turned herself into the police with her best guess of the murder weapon and lied that she was the one who shot Brekkers but only received 80 months in jail and a $35,000 fine because Dr. Ramsey had worded in Brekkers's autopsy report that he died of natural causes due to heart failure...not the gunshot wounds. Lane reflected to Wade that by writing it that way, their friend Dr. Ramsey saved her from a murder charge. Rue had an indefinite warrant because her blood was found on scene at the SDSO (from when Crystal shot her and witnessed "one man" with her). Afterward in an emotional conversation with Wally, Lane regretted her failure to explain to Brekkers why his infiltration of the police hurt her and the club more than it helped. Lane also confessed to a grieving Benji on August 7, 2024 that the Raiders MC shot Brekkers for fraternizing with the police and lying to the club about it. Benji could not believe they killed someone so harmless, and drove off in a rage. On August 8, 2024, Mickey returned to Los Santos and kept hearing Brekkers's ghostly voice in his head.. Benji reluctantly showed him Brekkers's frozen corpse at Humane Labs. After they blamed each other for his death, Mickey had to pry out of Benji that Brekkers had secretly joined his ex-wife Lane's gang. Benji explained that after Lane opposed Brekkers's offer for Chief of Police, he accepted an offer to be a PD janitor and got shot by them for betraying and lying to the club about it. Mickey believed Benji's incorrect assumption that everyone but Lane had voted to punish Brekkers, putting him in the hospital sooner than expected, and that she didn't want him dead but had to follow the club rules. Mickey proclaimed that they kill Lane first so she doesn't watch her other members die in front of her. Benji assembled a Hades war party comprised of himself, Mickey, Reggie Might, Achez Perez, Dragon Rush, and Chico Guzman. When Brekkers's ghost voice advised Mickey to solve it with words before violence, Benji tried to phone Lane but she hadn't woken up yet. Mickey, Benji, and the war party all drove down to north Chumash and held up both Wade Wilson and Mason Calaway at gunpoint. Ironically, they unknowingly robbed the hot gun that shot Brekkers from Wade. Both Wade and Mason corrected Mickey's misconception that the club voted to shoot Brekkers. Wade lied that he made the call to shoot Brekkers for getting in a cop car and betraying them by hanging out with cops. Having correctly deduced that the Raider MC Enforcer had pulled the trigger, Reggie asked Wade who it was but he refused to divulge it. Wade also explained that the club couldn't take any chances having someone close to them be close to the cops. Mickey called Brekkers innocent, the one good thing about the city, and the purest person in the city who solved problems with words rather than guns. Wade guilted Mickey for not being there for Brekkers when he needed him. Mickey shot both Wade and Mason outside of MRPD, completing "part one of the plan". Mickey executed the ex-lawyer for Chang Gang, Rick Richards, at Vinewood Bowl (whom Mickey and Benji had coincidentally encountered earlier amidst a bed of hypodermic needles at Humane Labs) for admitting to him (under "lawyer confidentiality") that he put Brekkers's adopted brother police Sgt. Leonardo Slacks in a coma. When Lane called Mickey to ask what would give him peace, he answered with his plan to kill all of them, anyone who's ever been connected to them, and anyone who's ever been connected to them. She tormented Mickey with the revelation that Brekkers said Mickey was dead to him, and also unlocked that Mr. K caused Brekkers's original heart and lung damage by stabbing him. Lane agreed to meet Mickey unarmed if he returned Brekkers's corpse to the hospital to get a proper autopsy. Against Benji's protests, Mickey dropped off Brekkers's corpse off with medical intern Celine Jaxx at the hospital (instructing that the autopsy be completed without any tampering). At the civilian docks with Lane and Benji, Mickey tried to shame her that Brekkers never would have betrayed her. Raiders Wally West and Dax Marshall tried to post up on a rooftop to shoot Mickey per Lane's orders, but Hades was already posted at that same spot and gunned them both down. Lane refused to give Mickey closure, vowing to never tell him the truth of what actually happened to Brekkers, adding that she hoped it ate Mickey up until the day he died. He retorted that he hoped killing Brekkers ate her up inside. In response to Lane justifying her protection of the club secret with "club over everything", Mickey claimed he put Brekkers over everything. Benji threatened Wally and Dax for the truth from Lane. Mickey bragged that unlike her and the Raiders MC, he had the courage to go after Mr. K next. Lane said he could do that because he had nothing and nobody left to lose whereas she had to protect her people. Despite the favor to Swan to go easy on Lane so she could get closer to her, Mickey wanted revenge too badly and stabbed Lane multiple times. Afterward, Benji secretly phoned Reggie to save Lane's life but Swan and the EMS had already attended to her. For the final act of the plan, Benji desperately tried to talk Mickey out of going after Mr. K. Mickey decided to sleep on it. Benji and Mickey exchanged apologies for not protecting Brekkers better. Dr. Jaxx performed "Autopsy Round 2" on Brekkers. She detailed two gunshot wounds to the abdomen, one gunshot wound to the heart, two healing stab wounds to the abdomen, one stab wound that hit the heart and punctured a lung, and a heart transplant that the body appeared to reject. She concluded that the cause of death was a "Failed Heart Transplant", and that the manner of death was "Accidental". |
| Hot M(ass) Recruitment |

In December 2024, Los Santos was a city near bereft of life and Hades was no exception. In the wake of months of work plus a recent war, many members took breaks for rest and relaxation. Yet, back in the city, Benji crashed out - furious at the lack of progress and work ethic from his crew at all rank levels. For days, he walked around the HQ, yelling at how this person or that thing was “hot ass”. Determined to breathe new life into Hades, Benji and Raymond Romanov discarded their previous protocols for bringing Associates into the gang and tasked each member to find at least one potential recruit. On December 4, 2024, Hades voted to bring in 12 new Associates (primarily drawn from Project and High Stakes). The following day, another five Associates were accepted. |

In January 2025, a fight between Hades member Rico Barbosa and associate Billy Thorne set in motion a chain of events that threatened to alter the very nature of the gang. What began as a minor exchange of taunts quickly escalated, culminating in Rico drawing a gun and shooting the lower-ranked Billy. This was not the first time Rico had resorted to violence in response to Billy’s socially awkward and provocative behavior, and he had previously been warned against such actions. For Raymond Romanov, the path forward was clear—Rico had disobeyed a direct order, and a blood-out was necessary. But for Benji, the situation was complex. Rico was a vibrant presence, known for his cheeky and rebellious nature. Benji believed he was worth the trouble he caused. When summoned before the gang’s leadership, Rico was given a chance to explain himself. As Benji silently willed him to say something—anything—to save his place in the gang, Rico failed to offer what was needed. Ultimately, Benji did not intervene when Ray pulled the trigger, sealing Rico’s fate. Once known as The Last Marabunta but now defined by his loyalty to Hades, Rico Barbosa would never rise from where he fell. Enraged by the loss, Benji immediately blooded out Billy from the gang, blaming him for the chain of events. His fury did not subside, later threatening Billy should he attempt to remain near Benji’s inner circle: "This is not some life where you think you get to be close to Reggie and all your little friends. Consider that over." Grieving, Benji sought out The Lighthouse, where he made a deal with the supernatural apparition known as Norman Bones to speak with Rico one final time. In the days and weeks that followed, many within Hades advocated for a shift in direction—one centered on camaraderie and earlier intervention in disputes to prevent future conflicts from escalating into deadly outcomes. |
