Bartholomew Speakeasy is an affiliate of the Mimes, and an important antagonist of The Funhouse Clowns.
He acts as the doctor for the mimes, providing medical attention and interrogating their enemies. He is a ruthless and cunning individual, using any means possible to destroy their morale and make them afraid. He has a lot of medical knowledge that helps in his interrogation attempts, leading him to be quite feared amongst many of the clowns. Speakeasy keeps a clear head, rarely ever giving in to pressure or threats, always priding himself on being two steps ahead of everyone else. However, he is also quick to anger such as when he lashed out at Osvaldo Pingafria after the latter began taunting him about his deceased son who was murdered by clowns. Despite not being a mime and openly admitting that he does not care about the mimes nor the Mime Emperor, Speakeasy still works with them due to his hatred for the clowns, and his desire to completely destroy them as revenge for his son.
He is best known for brainwashing many clowns and turning them into sleeper agents, as well as stitching strings onto them and hanging them from high places, a practice he calls "making a marionette". The clowns he has tortured and manipulated include Ember Quinn, Angus Oblong II, Chatterbox, and Lily Night-Sky. He also attempted to brainwash Osvaldo Pingafria, but failed to do so due to his resistance to torture.
