The Baas family is a prominent family in Los Santos.
Description[]
The Baas family is the unofficial name for one of the most prominent and influential families in Los Santos. It was headed by Sam Baas, and is largely created through legal adoption. The Baas family includes several famous and pivotal individuals in recent Los Santos history, ranging from law enforcement, to gangs, motor clubs, and even clowns. In the past, the family was significantly larger, but many members were unadopted, especially by the time the city was reopened after economic collapse.
The current "heads" of the family are Baas' adopted daughters: Fiona Stewart, Tessa Lamb, and Eve Summers. They share a home together (Sam Austin Drive 3, Richman) with several of their own adopted children.
Note that some members don't accept other members as their own family. An example of this would be Shang who only accepts Fiona, Eve, Tessa, and Yuno.

- Fiona's part of the family is considerably smaller than before the economic collapse.
- Tessa is affectionately known as "clown mom" to most clowns, however Chatterbox, Bobby (formerly known as BonBon), and Hazel are the only clowns officially adopted by her.
- Ray Mond, Yuno's twin sister by birth, renounced her adoption by Fiona soon after returning to the city. She later dated and became engaged to Yuno's adoptive cousin, Chatterbox, and she was eventually adopted by Vinny Pistone.
- Fiona's children consider Hazel Havgreaves their uncle. Eugene Zuckerberg is considered a grandfather (who Ray Mond does as well).
- Bobby and Alice did not like the idea of a father-daughter relationship, so they went with grandfather-granddaughter. Alice previously dated Shang.
- For a brief period in 2024, the City Council enacted a "one-child policy" with fees for official adoption and fines for "adoption fraud". Chatterbox protested this law by adopting as many people as possible, increasing the size of the family and racking up significant debt. The law was eventually repealed and Chatterbox considered his "adoptions" void.
- Osvaldo is dating Chatterbox's sister Hazel. If they married, then Hazel would be Pico's stepmother, making Chatterbox Pico's uncle and step-uncle.
