Ava is a caucasian woman with bright red hair and green eyes. She is commonly seen wearing red, black and a pair of heels. Though her fashion differs day to day, Ava enjoys a mix of street wear and elegant high fashion depending on the day. She has three tattoos; a deer with antlers on her chest, a rose and skull on her left arm, and a pair of arrow wings on her back.
Ava is seen driving an Elegy Retro Custom which she purchased from Richard Chiclets, and most commonly hangs around the MDM Records studio. Ava can also be found working at Tuner Shop, helping animal lovers at Paleto Pets, taking part in races around the city, or doing performances at the various venues.
Background Information[]
Beginnings
Ava grew up in Somerset, England, in a home that was perfect on paper, but much worse under the surface. Her parents had money and gave her whatever she wanted, but pushed her to achieve their goals, which were to join her father's fashion business after school. Ava spent her life dreaming about making it big as a singer, and in her pursuit of creativity, allowed herself to slip and fall in school. Her father was never present and treated her poorly when he saw her, using money to try to repair this relationship.
Eventually, she started partying, drinking, doing drugs and eventually petty crimes. The worst came when she stole liquor from a store. After a few successful robberies in pursuit of a good time, she got arrested, and when her father collected her, he disowned her on the spot. Her mother tried to be there for her, but couldn't argue the decision. Ava spiralled into a dark place, homeless, a drunk and with no real friends or future. Music was what gave her the push to put herself out there and try to do bigger things.
Looking For More
Ava travelled around America for a time, during which she tried to move away from her past. She joined a gang called the Devil's Rejects who taught her to be a mechanic, but when she fell for the leader of the gang, she was pushed to begin selling drugs on the streets, and eventually fighting a war with them. When Ava put one of the enemy's men into ICU, nearly killing him, the trauma caused her to retreat into her shell, haunted by nightmares and needing extensive therapy to begin to heal from the events and the guilt she felt.
Ava began to lose herself and her partner began treating her badly as she was losing the respect of the gang for not carrying out what they asked of her. When they realized she wasn't useful to them, they discarded her, and without any friends she felt helpless. This pushed her to join 305, a gang that pushed a legal front she could help with. When the leader's partner suffered amnesia and fell out of love with him, Ava comforted him through this time, and he comforted her through the trauma she'd experienced. They found a physical and emotional connection between them, which was kept secret from the rest of the gang to prevent a scandal. She started dancing at a club and became the head entertainer, even starting to work on music again that she hoped to play there one day.
When her affair had to end, as the leader was prepared to make things work with his wife, Ava felt alone until she began dating one of the other gang members, a gentle and kind man who accepted her for who she was and allowed her to flourish. They moved into his mansion together and things were better than ever - money was flowing, she was becoming a name in the city, making friends and doing what she loved. Even so, she sought validation and approval from her gangmates, and this lead her back down a dark path, starting to run drugs once again. While she never partook in any wars, she broke the law countless times and went as far as robbing a bank with them. When she got thrown in prison, she realized this was the opposite of what she wanted to do and made the choice to leave and pursue music, and a legal life.
One With The Music
After a tearful goodbye to the friends she made, she moved on to a new city, in which she was determined to make a different impression and stay out of trouble. After singing in front of the apartments, she made a friend in an artist and was taken to a studio where she was signed on the spot as a developmental artist. As time went on she created her first EP Mind Games that she was extremely proud of.
She started performing at various venues and creating a name for herself, collaborating with other artists and producers, and even producing her own music. Over time she started making beats for other people and mixing other people's work. She made friends with an artist who was starting a podcast and was hired on to do voice overs for the adverts, instilling confidence in her ability to carry out various different kinds of work. Ava spent hours in the studio every day, honing her craft and making hits she hoped the city would enjoy. During this time she fell in love, going on dates and even moving in with a man who'd made her feel like she was enough, and brought her immense happiness every day.
At a speed dating event she performed publicly the song she wrote for him, Sweet City Sunset. Things were perfect, then one day, a realization hit - that if she wanted to pursue her dreams, why not take it all the way? And so she filled out the paperwork, and it didn't take long before she had a one way ticket for the city of dreams. She cried with her friends and fellow artists, and sat down with her partner, making the decision together that he would have to let her go if she wanted to pursue her dreams, though it broke her heart so badly that she could only write sad songs for quite some time.
Los Santos' Future Star?
Dealing with the fallout of losing so much she loved in pursuit of something bigger, she moved to the big city and felt helplessly alone, but it didn't take long before she found her feet and started planting a foundation once again. After unpacking she met Santiago Madrid who showed her around the city and took her to both MDM Records to meet Luke Spearman, and Wu-Chang Records to meet Harvey Hardy. The vibe at MDMR was something she clicked with immediately, and after an unpleasant experience at Wu-Chang, Ava was set that she would join MDMR. She became an Intern Artist, starting the biggest journey of her life, in hopes that one day she would be a star on the walk of fame.
Ava found success early on with her music, launching her single No Limit at Ecstasy and setting an example for artists throughout the label to put a similar amount of planning into their music. Coming out of a break up, Ava had a brief fling with Luke Spearman, though due to his commitment issues, Ava went on a date with Marcus Wester and Fixer lost interest. They came together for a brief period, boosting and getting arrested in chases Bonnie & Clyde style, but it wasn't meant to last and dating her boss was not Ava's finest moment.
During this time Ava started to get close with her colleagues, spending a lot of time in and out of the studio with Roy Rinn, Stewart Atkinson, Kelly Dean and others. Ava started making friends through selling mixtapes throughout the city, but beyond her connections to Mandem Records, being acquaintances with some of the Mandem and knowing of some individuals in the city, Ava didn't have much in terms of friends. Therefore, Ava wrote her song "Grind" dedicated to the hard workers in the city, and decided to pick up a job to get to know people more.
Near Miss
During her time of applying for Hayes Auto Body Repairs, Ava was going through a difficult time with Fixer and sought out a friend, Ryder Flint for advice. After venting to him about her situation, he turned on her, pulling a gun and threatening her life, saying she was trying to make him choose between her and Fixer. Ava tried to convince him this was not the case, but she couldn't, and he made her look into the water while she begged for her life. She was shot in the back of the neck and the leg. Yuki Tanaka found her at the Chumash Pier after receiving an anonymous ping from Denzel Wallace who was secretly watching the situation unfold.
Ava was taken to hospital and it was discovered she could have been paralysed for life, but luckily the bullet missed anything vital. Ava was drowsy and shaken when she woke up with Yuki and Roy Rinn at her bedside. She was questioned on what happened and wasn't sure. The only pieces she had were that she had a phone call from RJ, and that she went to talk to somebody. RJ showed up at the hospital with a snapped finger which raised suspicions, but it wasn't until he confronted Ava at the apartments that he admitted to her it was him who did it. Ava was devastated and angry and they became more enemies than friends. Ava still interviewed at Hayes with Keandre Davis and was informed that she had gotten the job (after pranking her into thinking she hadn't).
After a period of tension which included Ava punching RJ multiple times in the studio for talking shit and threatening him with a gun, Denzel Wallace lured Ava to a gold panning spot under false pretenses, when in fact Fixer and RJ were present along with some of the other Mandem & Mob boys. Tommy Cruizer made it into a "show" to resolve the tension between them and told Ava and RJ that they should go and bang to fix their problems. RJ said he was down and Ava was disgusted. They continued insulting each other while the others tried to diffuse the situation until RJ pulled out a gun and shot Ava down, leading to him getting shot down in retaliation. EMS and police showed and everyone on scene lied and said that robbers had come and held them up while gold panning which lead to the altercation of Ava and RJ getting shot. Ava and RJ drove out to a creek and discussed things afterwards, and came to an agreement that they could leave things in the past.
At Hayes, Ava met Andino Vidal, Drake Morgan and Armani Macaroni. Ava nicknamed Andino "Handy Andy" and Armani "Big Arm". They got on well and ended up taking her to push weed with them, and even offered her a place in their friend group. Unfortunately schedules didn't align and while Ava still hangs out with them to this day, she never got close with them due to extended periods of separation. During her time at Hayes Ava met some of her favourite people, such as Tex Graves and Shane Powers. Shane-O showed a lot of support for her music, buying a VIP box to an Ecstasy event and purchasing 12 of her mixtapes to give out for free with repairs to support her.
The Mob
Ava had gotten to know Jay Harper and some of the members of S24 (The Mob) such as Chucky Cummings, Kyrie Jackson and Max Brown. Ava had also been on a date with Chris Daniels, which was a success, but they remained friends afterwards. While Ava had tried for a while to stay away from crime, she was itching for a thrill and was looking for a place to call home. Not long after meeting Jay, he gathered her, Blocc Boy and Ranveer Singh Randhawa on the block. Ava thought they would be boosting as that was what they agreed on the phone, but he claimed people would be bored and took them to do something else that was exciting. Jay claimed it wasn't illegal but told them to put their shit away. Ava didn't listen.
They picked up a man in a taco mask in Legion square and went to a Fleeca, and Ava realised they were doing a robbery. Ava pulled her gun and held it on the hostage while Jay hacked. As they had rented a Futo, when they fled they couldn't get far from the officers. Jay stopped the car eventually at a dead end in the car park near Playa Vista, and told everyone to run. Blocc Boy got away, but Ava, Jay and Ranveer got arrested, which also reset Ranveer's expungement process. Ava was furious that Jay had lied to them about what they were going to do. Ava lost her firearms license on her first arrest and once she got to Bolingbroke, got in an argument with Jay and they exchanged punches. Once Ava was out, she refused to speak to Jay and didn't interact with him for a while out of spite.
Ava still liked the rest of the Mob boys. After hanging with Chucky and Andy when Jay wasn't around and helping out with a weed run, they decided to convince Jay to have Ava hang around. He agreed. Chucky had a lot of faith in Ava and wanted to teach her as much as they could, so he took her in secrecy to help them cook meth. Because the tables didn't have everything they needed, when Ava began the process, the table exploded and Ava was sent flying and the area lit up in flames, destroying one of their vehicles in the process. Chucky said this was Jay's fault but they couldn't take it out on him as he wasn't meant to know Ava was there. They started teaching her how to grow her own weed, and she tended to plants when not in the studio.
Just when things were looking up, Chucky called Ava and warned her that Jay would be interrogating her, but that she would be an official hangaround for the group and she'd been voted in. When Jay took her to the pier to talk, he told her the opposite, that he wanted her to work on her music and she was "better built" to be a civilian. Ava argued this fact, informing him that she'd done a lot of crime in her old gangs, even some things Jay himself hadn't done, and that it was her choice to get involved in the life again. Jay explained he was worried that if she got threatened with the 9s she would snitch. Ava was offended by this and while she tried to tell him she had never spoken to the cops about anyone, Jay wouldn't change his answer. He took her back to the studio and she called Chucky to let him know what happened.
Eventually Ava was filled in on other events that had transpired, which lead to Chucky and Andy leaving The Mob and doing their own thing. Ava stuck with them. She was unsure, but Fixer was in her ear, telling her that the intel could be valuable and she could use it in the future, plus they were teaching her things she didn't know. Ava was worried due to the money Chucky owed for meth tables, and that they were willing to go to war over it, which would lead to Ava going up against Fixer, Jay and potentially some of The Mandem. Chucky sat Ava and the boys down and explained that he was surrounded and accused of not paying up for tables they'd used. He didn't want to pay but eventually put a share towards it. He also informed them that Denzel had shot him down, to which he called him "the nutsack of the Mandem". Tensions were high but Ava figured this meant there would be no more shooting. Chucky promised Ava that there would be a big job coming for her to get experience with, but then he disappeared and was never seen again, and Ava officially separated herself from them.
Later on, Ava's relationship with Jay repaired, and Fixer convinced Jay to take Ava along on an oil rig job under the pretense that they could give her a small cut and it wouldn't matter because Ava didn't know better. Ava joined them and met Sai Kou who became a plug for her as well as a friend. She had a great time and made $50k from the job. Fixer had pushed hard for Ava to become a hangaround for Jay's new group, but this never progressed. Ava would happily do jobs with them today, but she would never join a group lead by Jay out of respect for herself and remembering how she'd been treated the first time around.
The Racing Scene
After an MDMR Futo race, Ava realised she really enjoyed racing and she'd done similar before moving to Los Santos. Ava knew she needed a better car and eventually purchased an 8F Drafter from Mercury Frost as a starter car. She took the plunge and started joining races, meeting Marcus Gatlin in the process. Ava flirted with him during a race and he was enticed by her boldness, and they started racing together regularly.
Through Marcus, Ava got the confidence to make friends with others from the racing scene such as Stephen Joyce, Stig Walker and Clay Alderson. Ava caught feelings fast for Marcus. They went on a few dates including a dinner date at a creek and a romantic helicopter ride, and Marcus opened doors for her by introducing her to Luke Riley to get a job at Tuner Shop, and giving her permission to rep the Yokai merch to become Yocult. In truth, Ava became Yocult as Marcus also was, but continued pursuing this for her own benefit after a serious conversation in which Marcus stated they wouldn't be able to see each other romantically if they were in the same group, so he backed off from Yokai.
Initially Ava used the alias RabbitFoot due to her brand including bunny ears. After a race in her Drafter where she was pursued by Rangers and eventually arrested by Lucas Lovesick due to her car smoking and a lack of assistance from other racers, she changed her alias to ScarletFatale. Eventually she adjusted her brand to match, dyeing her hair red and driving a bright red car.
Ava improved her racing skills and eventually purchased an Elegy Retro Custom from Richard Chiclets. While Ava was not the best racer, she was able to regularly place middle of the pack in races if she tried hard enough. She continued to build friendships and introduce herself to various individuals in the racing scene, racing occasionally with Tex Graves, Kol Cascade and James, and taking part in races the Mandem were part of, so Ava felt familiar with a lot of people. Ava was present for the first ever run of Spaghetti Junction, hosted by Tommy Tate. Ava also involved some of the MDMR people in races, convincing Sammy to start racing in his drafter and having fun with Raiden Rufio and Harlow Mathews.
While Ava had claimed she was set on trying out for Yokai, due to the difficulty in meeting Yokai members and her existing friendships within Redline and Vendetta, she was torn and eventually took off the Yokai merch. After an incident with Clay Alderson that left a foul taste in her mouth, she ruled out Redline entirely, leaving her choice between Yokai and Vendetta. In particular, Ava enjoys the company of Stephen Joyce and Matthew Antov at races, and also made friends with Aiko Young and Ace Carter, putting Vendetta in the lead. STE helping her out when she was getting chased by cops also put Vendetta in a good light for Ava. Initially she was not considering them as Marcus had told her they were violent and that she wouldn't be a good fit with them. However, with their situationship in the dust, this option has opened up again for her. Currently, Ava works on improving her racing skills to where she could stand a chance at passing the trial, while trying to build relationships with members and put herself out there in the scene.
Business As Usual
In the wake of a painful "break up" with Marcus, Ava decided to focus more heavily on her music and careers. Ava had started working at Paleto Pets after Mira Whana made a recommendation to Damien Tinkerman about her, landing her a Sales Associate role in which she would sell pocket pets and get people on the wait list for leashed pets. Ava had asked about becoming a vet due to her previous animal experience and extensive knowledge of animals, and Serge Cross wanted to meet with her and Damien to discuss this. They could not get a meeting arranged and after an incident at Harmony where she "who"d Serge, he explained to her there was backend that needed doing and that once that was sorted she could become a vet.
Later that night, Sean Deane reached out to Ava about shadowing a bonding session. Ava arrived and they talked through her future prospects, including becoming an ACT and a vet. Sean had Ava do a vet check on his dog Nyx, and Ava passed with flying colours, landing herself a job as a Vet Tech. Sean called Ava out for her awkward encounter with Serge, and decided to punish her by making her sell pet rocks. Sean promoted Ava to Pet Placement Specialist and would start training with her towards becoming an ACT as long as she advertised the pet rocks.
Ava continued working away at the Tuner shop. Alder continued trying to convince her to apply for Maldini's Pizzeria, but she kept forgetting to put in her application. When she found out Marcus had left Tuner for Otto's, Ava was both relieved and hurt. It would give her space that she probably needed from him, but she also missed him desperately.
Musically, Ava released her album "Love For The Ages" which had a great turnout. She produced two diss tracks in the "Diss Track War" against Wu Chang. She stepped up regarding artist development within MDMR, and encouraged Klaas and Sydney to plan events around their song releases, talking through ideas with them and asking them the key questions they needed to answer in order for the events to be a success. She also continued to engineer and produce for various artists within MDMR, and went home briefly to record the season finale of the Papscast, in which she detailed her plans for the future and what MDMR was building. Despite her heartbreak, Ava still scheduled her song about Marcus "Finish Line" for release, as it had become a favourite among many.
Fixer had spoken to her about promotions and where the company was going. This topic of conversation had ups and downs, due to a moment of weakness when tensions were high in which she accompanied Ollivander Templeton to Wu-Chang Records' Masquerade Event, and vented to Ollie about her doubts and how she was being treated within the company. Conversations with Shannon Gucci and other Wu Chang artists had her questioning her place at MDMR, and she briefly considered leaving MDMR, even speaking to Samantha Sanders about the ownership of her music according to her contract if she happened to leave.
Any doubts Ava had were cleared after an in depth talk with Fixer in which he credited her value and talked to the strengths of MDMR and weaknesses of Wu Chang, the lies and deceit she was falling for. Ava agreed and decided in that moment she was MDMR for life. Fixer had gone back and forth on the promotion talk, sometimes pushing Ava in the management direction, other times criticising her and telling her why she'd never get there. Still, Ava worked hard and tried to learn from any mistakes she made, such as bringing Chance Conn into the studio and not showcasing MDMR's talent strategically, or the time she'd spoken poorly of a mix she was working on for an artist.
Eventually, Ava sat down with Raiden Rufio for an in depth chat. They discussed the future of the company, the struggles Ava and Raiden had faced, Fixer's burdens and how they could help him with them. Regardless of how things went, Ava and Raiden agreed they would check in on each other and do what they could to help on the ground as artists. Raiden eventually pulled Fixer aside for a chat and the topic of promotions arose. They pulled Ava in to give her thoughts and Fixer discussed Ava's shortcomings and his concerns if she went further. Ava did her best to reassure him and give him the facts, as he could not always be around to see them, and after a long talk, Raiden was granted the role of "Creative Director", and Ava "Head of Artist Relations", joining an Executive Board for the company. What Ava wouldn't know is that Fixer and Harlow's doubts in her ability to fulfil the role were much deeper than she was made aware of, and only time would tell if she would last.
