The Inbetween
Riding the high of her success at the NPMA, Ava decided to take a vacation to celebrate her big win, leaving a chunk of her money and assets in her mansion in Los Santos and catching the next flight back to London. Unaware of the progression of the Sanguine War or the state of the economy, she lived out a vibrant and thrill-filled life back home, gambling in casinos, lounging in VIP booths and feeling like a true celebrity, continuing to play her music around the country but mostly leaning on the money she'd earned in LS to fund her lavish lifestyle.

Ava wasn't tempted by the petty crimes she'd committed before moving back home. She loved fast cars, but wasn't a racer. She loved money, but didn't do any robbing. For a while she was on a high; winning big from casinos, making a name for herself as a London socialite, and even finding love again in a lawyer. After three beautiful years together, Ava married him; becoming Ava Archer and leaving the Thompson name behind forever.

But Ava wasn't fortunate like some, and good things never last forever. Still relying on the cash she'd brought home, which was now dwindling, she brought a lump sum of it to the casino one night - almost everything she had, determined to win big. In the hustle and bustle of the venue, an elaborate scheme was carried out, a show that would rinse the pockets of everyone there. The casino was robbed, and Ava lost her most prized jewelry, and the only cash she had left, unsecured. Her husband reassured her they'd live a good life off of his money, what he inherited from his grandparents and what he earned as a lawyer, but seeing everything taken away from her when she felt she'd finally "made it" was enough to send her into a fit of rage. She grabbed her trophy from the music awards and smashed it into tiny pieces, found the white blazer she wore that night and splashed red wine all over it, slammed her fists into the wall.

Too suddenly, the shows weren't doing well enough. She wasn't making money, and she wasn't about to be found flipping burgers or working retail. Ava felt chained, relying on her man to get by. And the more she thought about that night in the casino, she considered how easy it was for them. How those masked men could've been with her, sharing in the funds. She started sneaking away at night, using what little connects she had left in the city to network her way into small jobs, drug running, taking her car to races and blowing off steam when sitting at home became too much. Her husband, being a lawyer, got suspicious, and Ava used every excuse under the sun to get out and do something exciting.

In the last six months before she left England, the group Ava got in with planned a job, a big one. She'd not done a large scale robbery in years - not since her time in the 305 gang, way before Los Santos. Still, she sought out the excitement and payday and volunteered to take part. Safe to say, the job didn't go well. It landed her in deep shit, and her husband finally caught her on her antics. Her friends managed to bail her out; her husband didn't want to cover for her. For days Ava tried to reason with him but he didn't see the woman he loved anymore, he saw a monster, and he couldn't risk everything he worked for to be with her.

They got into an argument that turned to yelling, that turned physical, and in a surprising turn of events, within moments Ava was stood in the kitchen with a bloodied knife in her hand, looking down at the man she loved who slipped away quietly right in front of her as she watched and did nothing at all. He wouldn't accept her for who she wanted to be - so he had to go. Right?

With a well known lawyer's body scattered all over the city, it bought her time, but Ava needed an escape plan. She didn't know how her vacation turned into a five year stint, but it was about time she went back to where her heart always was, Los Santos. Ava found her way into his bank accounts and drained what she could, sold his valuables in preparation for her trip home. Only when she booked the flight was she told about what happened, how it had been abandoned and she'd be returning to a whole different city. This made Ava cautious, but also intrigued, prepared to rebuild and maybe reap some benefits for herself. She dyed her hair raven black, painted her nails, slipped on her darkest shades, and got back on that flight, wondering what would become of her now and who she'd be with fresh blood on her hands.

Say hello to Ava Archer.

Welcome Back to Los Santos!
Ava returned to Los Santos with a sense of familiarity, but also an uncertainty. She reconnected with old friends such as Patar and VD. She helped Chris King arrange a trivia night, performing her songs for the very first time.

The evening of her first day back, she got a phone call from an unknown number, and found out quickly it was Donnie McMuffin, an old romantic connection. They caught up and the spark immediately returned. Ava told him, vaguely, what happened over the 5 years, terrified of his judgement, but he accepted her and her demons and she vowed to finally take him on the dinner she owed him from all those years ago. Ava wanted to continue doing mechanic work, and was introduced to Nino Chavez who was starting up a mechanic shop, LS Customs. After a few days of confusion and trying to get training in she met a man named Silvio, an old friend of Nino's, who she worked at Mosley's with and who showed her what she needed to do to start doing mechanic work again. In the meantime, Ava did sanitation work, Gruppe 6, and did various performances. When working with Silvio he found great passion in her music, and decided he would become her agent, getting her gigs and taking 30%. It was with him she came up with the idea for the Music Guild (MoGuLS) which would provide record labels and their artists with a number of benefits if they worked with the guild.

She received a call from a man called Moon who told her about Updog, and Ava convinced him to commission her to do a song. She wrote the Updog theme song which was loved by Tanner and Jane, and which brought her several performances. Once her mechanic training was complete, Ava became a trainee mechanic for Nino and started fixing up cars at the shop.
