Alex Arson is a character role-played by Professor_Alexion.

Description[]

Alex is a confident man in his early 40s. He wears a brown trench coat over a suit. A fedora always rests on his head. He can often be found investigating the deaths of his wife and daughter, and narrating himself and the world around him.

Background[]

Alex was a private eye in New York. He lived there with his wife, Allison, and his five year old little girl, Savannah. They had a good life. Not well off by any means, but they had enough, and more importantly, they had each other.

Life as a PI was always busy. Investigate an affair… assist the police on investigations… life was good. Until one day… Alex was investigating a pair of shady characters garbed in all black… Trenchcoats… Hats… One even had sunglasses on. At night. He followed the pair, and found them talking to some swanky rich guy. One of them at least. He couldn’t see the other.

They were extorting the man. $100,000 for a photo. Must have been bad, cause the man paid it. 100k for a single photo… Alex kept to the shadows, being as stealthy as he could, but it didn’t matter. The other guy in black had crept up behind him and bashed his head in with a metal pipe.

They rifled his body and found his ID. Took everything he had on him, except his clothes, and left him to die. But he didn’t die. EMS found him and stitched him up. Taken back to his room, Alex was met there by Sergeant Peters, a sergeant Alex had known well. And he was crying.

“I’m so sorry, Alex.” The words played through Alex’s head for days. “They’re gone… both of them.”

When he was released from the hospital, Alex went to investigating the men he’d encountered that day, certain that the two events were linked. But… they had disappeared… like a fart in the wind.

Alex looked for them. Over and over. Obsessively. He watched old detective films, certain that something in them would trigger the epiphany he needed to find these men. Until… one day he went a little mad. He started narrating his days, like the detectives in those old films.

And when the epiphany happened… when he found the thread that led to them, he yanked it. Hard. He traveled across country. To Los Santos. Where he was certain they were homed.
