Aki Fujiwara is a played by Jaymeee
Background[]
Aki Fujiwara grew up as the stubborn middle child. She lived with her younger sister Haruko Fujiwara, older brother Yukio Fujiwara, as well as her father and grandfather. Aki grew up in the Adachi ward located in Tokyo, Japan. She didn’t have much of a relationship with her father. In the Fujiwara clan, the sons were looked at as the golden child. Yuki was her fathers golden child. Her father spent most of his free time with Yuki, teaching him the ways of street racing. Aki would try so hard to get her father to notice her interests in cars and the Hashiriya.
Aki would always give up her free time to watch the men in her family work on their cars, or race them. She would sit there for hours admiring it. Aki didn’t care about the things typical girls her age did. She just wanted to have the chance behind the wheel one day. Aki would try to help Yuki when he was learning about the parts of cars and how to work with and fix them. She was a quick learner and picked up on things very quickly. Becoming just as good as her brother while working alongside him.
Aki grew up a majority of her life without her mother. She passed away when Aki was only 7 years old. Therefore, she doesn’t have very many memories of her. Her grandfather would always talk about her, and try to remind the girls how beautiful and caring their mother was. And how much they reminded him of her. In 2018, the Fujiwara clan took a very hard loss. Aki’s father had passed away from illness. Yuki was deemed next in line. Aki and Haru looked up to Yuki a lot. He played a huge part in raising them before, and now continues to do. After their father had passed away, Aki never gave up on her dreams to race for Hashiriya one day. She would spend hours upon hours in the shop learning the insides and outs of cars.
Aki finally proved herself to the Hashiriya and was accepted into the group by her cousin Kazu Hanzawa in 2019. Her name was very well known on the streets and at the races. Everyone knew her father, and would tell her how proud of her he would be to see her behind the wheel. When Aki wasn’t behind the wheel tearing away at the competition, she was in the shop running ‘The Underground’. This was a secret underground workshop that the Fujiwara Clan had built in order to run their illegal vin scratching business out of. Aki worked extremely well with cars and was put in charge of the building of these street machines and the many orders they would take on daily. Aki had worked very hard for everything that she had. And in just a few months she had climbed her way to the top of the charts. Becoming one of the youngest millionaires in Tokyo, Japan at just 19 years old.
When Aki wasn’t spending all of her time in the shop or behind the wheel, she was at the top of the real estate charts. Haru had grown to be an incredible business woman. She was able to get Aki a job in real estate while working with a large company. Aki put her all into this job. She worked countless hours. She wanted to be the best. Aki always felt like she had to prove herself ever since her father refused to notice her hard work when she was younger.
Aki would often spend her lunch hours at the Import shop with Haru. Ever since their father passed away, the two girls had become inseparable. One Thursday evening, a man by the name of Carter Mitchell had stopped by the shop as he was looking for a flashy new car for his upcoming photoshoot. Carter was an incredible music artist. He showed Aki and Haru some of his music while he was there waiting. They both fell in love with music and even began to start dancing right there in the lobby. Aki and Haru had both bonded over dancing ever since they were little. Carter loved their energy. He immediately agreed that he could use someone like them on his team. They both shrugged and agreed to help Carter with Choreography for his upcoming tour. They would spend hours in the dance studio rehearsing for the big events and shows.
On October 18th, 2019, Aki’s grandfather passed away. The sound of the monitors still haunts her to this day. Her grandfather was her rock. Aki turned to him for everything. He made sure all of her dreams became a reality. He made sure her siblings and her were loved and knew how much their parents cared for them after passing. After the funeral, Aki, Haru, and Yuki decided they needed to start fresh. Kazu had been telling Aki about the underground racing scene in the big city Los Santos. All of the siblings decide to pack up and leave that Friday. Never looking back.
First Day in Los Santos[]
The sun is bright and shiny on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Aki and Haru step out of their new apartment. Ready to explore the new city together. All of their luggage had been lost and nowhere to be found. The 2 siblings had nothing but themselves and a little bit of cash in their wallets. On their way out, they meet a man named Jeffrey. Who claimed to be running a very legal taxi driving business. The girls didn’t question it, and hopped in the back of his car. Not even making it 10 minutes in the car, the police sirens kick in. Jeffrey begins to voice his concern for not wanting to go back to jail. Aki and Haru beg him to just pull over and talk it out with the cops. However, Jeffrey refuses. Leading them on a very intense long police chase. Jeffrey eventually agrees to let the girls go. He drops them off at the closest DigiDen. The girls stare at each other and ask themselves what just happened. “Welcome to Los Santos” a man’s voice says from behind them. Aki and Haru can’t help but giggle at each other. The 2 girls have no idea what is in store for them.
Fujiwara Clan[]
Takumi Fujiwara was the firstborn son of Bunta Fujiwara. Takumi fathered three children, Yukio, Aki and Haruko. When his wife passed away, he required the assistance of his father in order to take care of the kids. Takumi fell into step, relying on Bunta to be a father figure as he struggled to process the loss of his best friend.
This caused Takumi’s relationships to falter with his daughters, as he saw too much of his wife in them. Takumi’s relationship flourished with Yukio as the two of them bonded over the racing scene. Many members of the Fujiwara clan were well known for their street racing group, Hashiriya 走り屋. The newer generation of Hashiriya were infamous, as they were easily spotted with their orange cars.
In 2018, when Takumi passed away, Yukio easily became the most influential person in the racing scene with his father’s skillset. With the help of his youngest sister, and his right hand, Haruko, the two of them were able to create a monopoly of businesses in both the illegal and legal realms. Together they imported illegal car parts in order to export high value vehicles. Down the line, they used realty and property management to help launder their money, but when the income skyrocketed, the Fujiwara children began to funnel more money through their grandfather’s tofu shop.
The trio developed the perfect balance; Yuki was the face of the racing scene, Haru was the brains of the businesses and Aki stabilized and worked between the two, maintaining the supply and demand of contracts.
