Background[]
Joey “Nine” Toes is a retired homeless man who claims to be 80 year old, but is actually 75. His life took off at the age of 22 in 1967 when he was drafted into the United States Navy and worked his way to Petty Officer 2nd Class. When was called to serve he got shipped off to Vietnam and shoved into a PBR carrying an AN/PRC-77 and participated in Operation Game Warden patrolling the Mekong Delta. One patrol had an unfortunate incident when an enemy unit bombarded the small boat with grenades. Toes managed to survive this assault with only the loss to one of his toes on his left foot and being blown from the boat. He would awake eight hours later covered in blood and in a bamboo cage making him a POW. He was rescued a few months later by allied forces. Toes doesn’t recall any events between when he was thrown from the craft and covered in blood locked in a cage. After returning to the States and recouping back to a civilian life Toes settled down with his Wife. At the age of 50 Toe's wife passed away which sent him into depression that he tried to fill by becoming a cop in Liberty City, But the force couldn’t help him keep his mind off his depression which led to financial hardpoints forcing him to live on the streets for the last 20+ years. During his years of being homeless he managed to train hop his way to Los Santos where he currently resides. His time aging and homelessness has sparked some PTSD from time to time. It could be from someone who looked like his wife to certain events unfolding around him. The last time he had a PTSD episode he chased after people with a combat knife yelling his name, rank, service number and date of birth. Police managed to subdue him without the need of deadly force and he was 51-50’d. He hasn’t had an incident in a few years, but feels it clawing at him from time to time.
Allies[]
Jerry Curl: Homeless friend who believe in conspiracy theories and bakes some burning good beans. Jerry refers to 9 Toes as Bucket or Bucket Head due to the shape of his hat. Helped with 9 Toes pain issues by having a physical that involved many things medically done to person, but didn't really help but made his pain a lot more under control.
Ebeneezer Mackaral Botanacus IV: Also known as Glue or Glue Guy. Good frenemies who have constant back and forth about addictions and overly arguing with each other on the smallest things. 9 Toes helped in making sure Glue Guy got his job back at Burger Shot by making him smoke baking soda. Occasionally when Glue Guy is at work 9 Toes leaves him Glue Bottles to freak out and use on the job.
Garry Roche: Civilian/Criminal job associate. Garry uses 9 Toes as an example of how big muscles can get on a human being. Some believe Garry also absorbs life force of 9 Toes but nothings been proven.
William McKenzie: Civilian job buddy and occasional drinking buddy.
Harry Phartz: Civilian job buddy and constant banter between subjects like how a camp fire is different from fire pit. They both enjoy yelling at each other and critiquing driving skills.
Anna Swallows: She is one of 9 Toes lady friends who works at Rooster's Rest. She verifies with people at the Rooster's Rest that he is a trust worthy person and has been on a few adventures from helping Johnny Silverhand to protecting the food joint from Chris Porter who has been a nail in the side of the place over the course of a few days.
Jackson Cole: Also known as Brother MeHof. Met through Garry and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 9 Toes has interest in his religious group and their actions. Even though 9 Toes is not involved in this group; he has been told many secrets as well as actions committed in the name of Jesus Christ and Rooster's Rest.
Kian Mercer: Joey's manager that he grew fond of and likes to fuck with from time to time. Kian always complains to Joey about taxes and always being down bad. They both also like to compete for sales even though Joey has no care for money. He just likes messing with Kian.
Bartending Arc[]
First few Weeks:[]
Joey on a desperate search for income saw on Twitter about the Mirror Park Tavern looking to hire people. Thanks to the speed of a stolen bicycle he was able to make it to the tavern in time and after having an Interview with the then unknown CEO Dante Thomas. Joey was hired that night and started making sales and attending to the bar at hours of a time even going to the extent to patrol the surrounding area for trouble makers.
Three Weeks:[]
Joey was approached by Dante and brought to a back alley behind the Tavern and held up with a crowbar. Thomas began asking how much Joey knew about the tavern. Joey spilled the beans on what he knew about. He already knew about the Moonshine being produced there thanks to Daryl Dickinson spilling the beans unknowingly to the fact that it was being kept a HoA Secret. Joey didn't tell another soul about the Moonshine knowing the Owner Siz Fulker possibly murdered a man for simply pissing on the tavern door earlier into his second week. Dante didn't kill Joey, but offered for him to learn to distill the Moonshine and become a "Brew Master" with Joey being relatively old his memory tends to fail him so he made sure to mention he gonna need to train on it before doing the real thing. For if the Moonshine isn't made proper the Tavern would explode.
Fourth Week:[]
Joey has finally received his Tavern Keys, but still has no idea how to distil moonshine. He believes Kray Tor will one day train him seeing Joey cannot understand almost anything Jesus Antonio Lopez Contreras says due to a language barrier. Later in the week Joey was approached by Jane Obama going by her Jesus Christ persona and he was swiftly stabbed in the gut. Later that same night another citizen and him saw Jane Obama running. The man and Joey chased after her but thanks to the stab wound he only ran super slowly. As he came within vocal range the citizen decided to just start whaling on Jane Obama which Joey was highly against. The Next day Mike Block and Four Tee showed up and proceeded to rob Joey and another patron Kellogg Farnsworth and were forced to play a number guessing game. Joey won and was not tortured by Mike or 4T later in the day. The week ended with Joey being shouted at by his boss for having the name Joey being it sounded to young for a man his age. Siz took the "Y" from his name and now has to go by Joe Toes. Joe then took his ID and drew over the "Y" with a sharpie.

After losing the "Y" to his name he sank into a a small depression where he decided to dress like Bart Simpson after googling Cool Dudes. He even ordered a helmet to help prevent brain damage after receiving constant punches and slamming head first into things, But the helmet was too small for his head and became stuck. Tavern employees tried to punch it off him to no avail. Most of the HoA that saw him had no idea who he was and kept making constant comments on it was kind of strange for an 80 year old man to look the way he does. Eventually Siz said some encouraging words to Joe and it helped him through the depression. He used a hacksaw to remove the helmet with only a very small amount of cuts to the head. He eventually became a full HoA member when Siz disbanded the HOB on 10/5/22 and made all previous HOB HoA by default.
